The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is made up of the following divisions: Corrections, Civil Office, 911 Dispatch, Patrol, Investigations, Emergency Services, Emergency Medical Services and Administration. There are approximately 180 employees at any given time working hard to provide a quality service to our communities. The Patrol Division and Emergency Services Division have received Accreditation status from the State of New York. The Sheriff’s office also provides a Special Operations Unit that consists of: Marine Units, Snowmobiles, ATVs, Swift Water Rescue and a regional SWAT Team working with the Amsterdam Police Department.
