Criminal Investigations Unit
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) is in place to handle incidents that require special attention. Many of these cases are Felonies and involve: Death Investigations, Robberies, Burglaries, Sex Offenses, Fraud, Serious Motor Vehicle Accidents and Drug Investigations to name a few.
The handling of evidence, impounds and the Sheriff's Office photography is an important part of any criminal case and is also part of the CIU's responsibility.
The Investigators are here to assist other members of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, other Law Enforcement Agencies and the citizens of Montgomery County with any questions, concerns or needs.
