What We Do:
  • Planning: We develop and update emergency plans for natural disasters, hazardous materials, and public health crises. By conducting risk assessments and collaborating with local partners, we ensure our county is ready for any challenge.
  • Responding: During emergencies, we activate our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to coordinate response efforts, assist dispatch operations, and send timely public alerts. Our team provides critical support to first responders, ensuring incidents are managed effectively.
  • Engaging: Community outreach is a cornerstone of our mission. Through public forums, partnerships, and volunteer programs like Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), we work to strengthen the bonds that make Montgomery County resilient.
  • Training: From first responders to families, we provide specialized training, workshops, and simulation exercises to prepare everyone for emergencies and improve response capabilities.
  • Mitigation: We actively implement risk reduction projects, secure grant funding, and advise local leaders on policies that enhance safety and reduce the impact of future disasters.
